Plan "Birdcage"

"Hijacking"-type Community Event

Sugarland Prison is never not in demand for new “employees”, and Liberty’s criminal syndicates are never shy to provide. While being the “luxurious” part of Liberty, California is never devoid of pirate activity, and the holding cells of Concord can only hold that many prisoners. Arranging a transfer via a convoy is a common practice for the LPI, but corruption runs deep in Liberty. An anonymous whistleblower was generous enough to provide the Liberty Rogues with a tip about one of the scheduled convoys, and those are never too shy to employ more cutthroats to their cause.

This time, their ambitions are aimed much higher - a batch of freshly released outlaws will simply not do. When the opportunity to hijack an entire Prison Liner presents itself, the Rogues can't afford to let it slide.

EVENT SCENARIO

Liberty Rogues will set up a blockade on a trade lane in 5E sector. Their task is to do the following:

1) A destroyer has to hit the deshielded transport with a Pulse turret. This will render the Liner stationary and non-combatant.

2) Rogues need to destroy the Liner’s shield - as in, a piece of equipment itself.

3) A destroyer needs to roleplay the boarding of the Liner and its takeover. The timer for the takeover is 15 minutes. While it is happening, the Destroyer’s shields have to be down and remain stationary near the Liner.

4) The remaining Rogues must defend both the Liner and the Destroyer. The takeover will be instant if all the Liberty Lawfuls are taken out of action.

5) Upon takeover, the Liner becomes a part of the Rogue force and has to be escorted to Buffalo Base.

Convoy will be transferring Prisoners from Battleship Concord to LPI Sugarland. Lawful Reinforcements will gather at Norfolk Shipyard. Lawful forces have to do the following:

1) Upon being intercepted, the Convoy will send out a system-wide distress signal. The Reinforcements will then be clear to proceed to the event zone.

2) Liberty Lawfuls have to repel the attackers. If successful, that grants them the win condition.

3) If the takeover of the Liner is complete, Liberty Lawfuls must destroy it in order to win.

EVENT RULES

- Standard engagement rules, no respawns, no restocking.
- Only Registered Participants may participate
- Permitted IDs: Liberty Rogues Indies and OFs, Liberty Navy Indies and OFs, LPI and LSF
- Only LPI ID can be a part of the Convoy
- Equipment bans: Gunboat Missiles, Cruiser Missiles, Hellfire Rocket Pods
- Sides will be regulated. If one side lacks the numbers, the other will be asked to reduce their own.
- Convoy Escorts are to be given a fair 2v2. The rest of the Rogues can focus on the Liner’s shield. Once the Lawful reinforcements arrive, it’s a Free For All.
- Rogue Destroyer and Police Liner remain NON-COMBATANT and MAY NOT BE ENGAGED DURING the takeover. The former may only be engaged when all Liberty Rogues are eliminated from the event or once the takeover is complete.

last time i checked, liberty rogues didn't have tech compat with OC ships
