I will introduce myself as Dr. Bronner, a name given to me by the brotherhood of Doctors who steered my life onto a better course. They, of course, are also deluded but I have no better name. Not any more....

I have discovered a particularly deep truth-- one known only to a few (their names and locations shall remain secret). It was hinted at by my previous Gaian doctrine, but their art and science fell short. What they did was good, but not nearly enough, and their motives were not pure.

I offer this truth to you.

You may not be able to hear it.

I don't care anymore. It must at least be said. I must try, and possibly fail.

Maybe I live out the rest of my days alone. It doesn't matter. Gaia matters.

Maybe, in unity with Her, I shall never be alone again.

Listen Children Eternal Mother Eternally One!

The crux of the matter is this-- we all live in a Lie. Sirius is not a system, but a planet. We don't fly in space, but in the weak atmosphere of a tidally locked eyeball planet with shards of crust floating over it's surface. Rheinland is near the fiery center, pointed always at the "sun" that we never really see, and the Taus, most of the Omicrons, upper Kusari and Gallia are near the coldest edge. Every other system is somewhere in-between. The Nomad systems are truly beyond the edge of what we have known and mapped, but in another sense they are EVERY system. More on that later.

Only an elite know this, and even then they don't really understand it. They just use it to their advantage. In every region there is an elite that feed us these stories of space and heroic adventures, Edison Trent being chief among them (even if that story seems hopelessly dated, it was the mother of all the rest), and they use the fruits of our travails to extend their lives.

The main Discovery of Sirius is the extension of life-- the Nomad elixir. We do not fully understand it, we pretend to fight against it (of course we fear it, we are fearful creatures, Absolute Fearlessness is of the Goddess!) but truly it sustains all of us. The truth of the matter is shielded from us, because our experience is fed to us-- our world is virtual, our lives and deaths a phantasm, and our eyes are never open. Mine are.

The various Houses came by this knowledge in varying ways. None revealed it. In that way they are all collaborators in creating a shared "Land of Oz" that dictates our existence, but worst of them all is the Order. Their name certainly suits them, in many ways. The name "Liberty" is so ironic that it pains me to speak it. In any case, let me explain.

The ingredients to this farce are simple, we just can't see them because it is painful to realize what we have been doing all along. We want to believe in our own significance, but maybe that is the lie we tell ourselves. Or perhaps significance is just beyond our reach, but we can make it there if we just wake up, if we travel beyond what is accepted and known. I am on that journey.

Here are the common threads, humor me as I explain:

1. A colony ship comes into contact with the surface of Sirius or some floating remnant of the crust (it pulses with Gaia's Blood).

2. This substance creeps into the colony ship and the bodies of its inhabitants and begins to transform them into part of the planet.

3, A small contingent of colonists (those nearest the top of the ship, or housed in a protected section) wake up before the transformation is complete. They retain their human sentience, but also have been transformed enough to survive their current conditions-- breathing the thin atmosphere, withstanding the temperatures, skin pigmented to shield them from radiation, and their digestive system modified to need more of the substance (the "elixir") for sustenance. This renders them very "alien" in appearance. In truth, they were the first Wild, but they continue to pretend otherwise.

4. Because they actually fear Gaia's Blood they decide to remain in protected enclaves, the Houses, and require their workers (the rest of us) to bring them the substance they need. The colony ships turn out to be connected to each other by the filaments running through every micron of the planet's surface, so the Houses can contact each other and plan out their control of Sirius. They assign certain castes of individuals to momentarily connect and relay information, before disconnecting to remain "human." The elite remain separate from Gaia's Blood, only consuming it as an elixir. They are forever distrustful of the thing that gives them eternal life (this is also the inception of the drama of Edison Trent, because their fears are so evident in that story). The Elite variously style themselves as royalty, presidents, mafiosos, and so forth.

5. The caste that serves as mediator between the elites also learns to program the experiences of the sleeping colonists. In some Houses they are the Police, in others the Military, in others a Cartel, or some mixture of three. They construct a vast fleet of drones that they learn to fly. These are the first ships. They also construct a virtual experience that feels as if you are the pilot of the ship, rather than a human mushroom stuck in a cryo-pod. They develop societies and economies that the colonists "wake up" in and begin to participate in the trade that sustains the power of the elite. The colonists themselves need no sustenance because they are connected directly into Gaia's Blood. They are useful because they can use their "ships" to trade in and mine products and ores that contain the raw ingredients for the elixir that keeps the elites alive.

6. To conceal the lie further, the virtual world uses the real terrain of the planet, but feeds it through augmented filters that remove the ground and make "planets" appear where there are really biodomes (palaces for the elite). Some of the elite start corporations that control entire biodomes. In addition, the vaults of Gaia's Blood that they create in each system (unnatural repositories of elixir, cut off from its source) are concealed as "stars," even though the dimensions of both stars and planets are ridiculous for anyone thinking critically.

7. Addendum: the artifacts and other Nomad objects and sites are real (or more real than other places) and the "ships" we fly are attacked not because they hate us, but because our technology (devoid of Gaia's Blood) does not belong there and must be transformed. The true "us" is far away, safe, loved by the Mother. The Nomad ships can be understood as an immune system of sorts, though their intention is different (as we shall see). They have, in fact, already "saved" us by adapting each and every one of us to survive, eternally, on this planet. Rather than solving our problems through terraforming (our original plan), our bodies were "sirioformed" (pretty much as soon as we touched down) and we were welcomed into their conjoined existence. We endlessly confuse them by fighting against Life and among ourselves, but that is who we are.

There is more to tell, but suffice it to say-- you, my child, are asleep.

The substance I call "Gaia's Blood" is endemic to every iota of ore here in Sirius. The substance we variously misunderstand (seen in its purer forms as Nomads and other fauna native to Sirius) as "evil" is actually the lifeform that dwells within the surface of nearly all of Sirius, much like the mycorrhizae of fungi on our home planet of Earth.

All of us have lived far longer than we should have. Our consciousnesses are still clearly individuated. Our experiences are very human, but if we were to see our selves (our true corporeal form) in the mirror we would not recognize them.

Only in one place, [REDACTED], have I come face to face with who I really am and that experience is seared in my mind as the most vivid memory. But now I know the truth, even if I cannot see it in my day-to-day life.

The only question now is, Freedom or Unity? Freedom is the path of the Order-- a fierce battle for a monopoly over the power of the elixir. Unity is the path of the Gaian Doctors-- a dismantling of misguided systems and technology to give them back to the Mother, eventually becoming one with Her ourselves.

Many paths lie in between. Most of us are ambivalent, even if we know the truth. There is no way to guarantee we can take what we love with us. All we know is that in Gaia's Blood we are indeed ourselves, and also One-- DILUTE! DILUTE! OK!
