To answer the quesion ahead of time. A simple hit of ALT+ENTER brings you into full screen later on.

Well for us it is easy to understand what we are supposed to do with this. I mean we are old payers mostly, and we visit forums and stuff, but the problem pops up when some new player joins community, or even an old one, but don't remember that there is a bloom effect, as the man said, he didn't see any change at all with or without bloom effect. So my point is, if anyone ignorant of this post, install this game with bloom effect and he has some health problems, it would make me feel bad and uncomfortable, since I knew we could do something to prevent it. It would be nice putting a note in there, or even disabling it if possible. Anyway thank you for your replies and opinions.

So guys is anyone willing to put this effort to the test? I would really be grateful if someone would accept this as an idea and tried to solve it. Regards. Bumping all around!

Alright so i have this same thing, it happend cuz i selected the bloom option on during instal.

The only way to turn that off is by editing the configuration files.

How to do this, i have tryt my self and it still is blinking like hell so i must have overlooked something though to find bloom related config files you do the following.
First in the windows folder options turn on the option to see hidden files and folders, next go to appdata map. There you look in the local folder.
You will see an map called Discovery 4.88.1 go in there, go to the folder called Exe. In there is a file called enbseries, open that one and after some light scrolling you will see bloom related entries.
Adjust those entries untill that blinking stops when booting up the game.

Hope this will help you out, much luck and friendly regards from.
Erik

Thank you for this response mate, but I am not sure, and I will require a confirmation of the yellows, greens, purples, reds and every other important color that this is not in fact a modding of the files, which is forbidden by the rules. I must say I am grateful and its a big help, but still we need to patch up a note to the installation process and inform people that that feature is dangerous for people that have high sensitivity related to eyes and nervous system.

I get the flickering too.

It seems it is a common enough issue that someone should try to come up with a fix.

Me too. Starting in Windowed mode fixes it, but as stated above... it looks bad.

I have bloom enabled, and I no longer (since a few days ago) see the flickering that used to make me want to puke. However, now, my Discovery will randomly crash right as it loads into the game. Weird.
