In order to streamline the process for event management in general, I've created this subforum for you, faction leaders, to submit your event requests to. The old request system was simple enough as a single thread where you dumped all of your stuff in, but overall it is problematic to discuss the event proposal in such a state. As such, I have simply CCed the system we use for other requests and applied it to official faction events.

This change is mostly meant to make the processing and documentation of these events faster for the team.

Below you will find the rules and template for requesting your official events.

| Who is allowed to post a thread in this subsection?

• Faction Leaders, Faction 2ICs



| When should you submit your faction event requests in this section?

• Your event requires the presence of an Admin for restriction enforcement purposes.
• Your event requires addition of a combat or trade event, creation of destructible bases, NPCs, Custom Cargo and other things of technical nature.
• Your event has serious impact on lore and gameplay - including but not limited to the takeover of NPC installations, temporary/permanent changes to reputation between factions or in order to advance a certain story element of the mod. (Warning: Might take longer to process!)



| When shouldn't you submit your faction event requests in this section?

• Your event requires little to no input from the Administration and Dev Teams and is "manageable enough" for you yourself to conduct. In that case, simply post an event HERE.

Note: You can still request that your event thread is moved to the portal's front page for the duration of the event in order to make it more visible to other players. After it is concluded, it will be moved back to the thread linked above.



| Which events are given priority?

• As a general rule of thumb, the more people can participate in an event, the bigger priority it gets.
Here is a simple breakdown on how events would be rated, from highest priority to lowest.

High: Large-scale, no-registration, multi-IDed events. Usually Combat + Cargo events.

Medium: Events involving a couple of IDs and requiring slot-based registration.

Low: Official-Only events.




| How frequent should these events be?

In order to make events not lose their special meaning and in order to prevent the scenario where players log only for events (especially when it comes to traders), an artificial ''cap'' is placed on ones that utilize the event plugin and give bonuses for cargo and PVP kills. As I am writing this, the cap is predicted to be 2 events per month depending on their type. Official events that require the use of either of the above mention server-side plugins will have to take up one of those slots.
