I apologize in advance for seeming angry, mostly cause I am lol. I just tend to have the mindset of "If it ain't broke don't fix it", ya know?

Well, thanks to the new launcher my game is yet again broken lmao. Lemme explain while this thread is still new here.

So back in the day I had this issue after some large update back in the day. The issue was thus: I'd load Disco, click on the server, then sit at the loading screen to get to the char page for about 10 years (usually takes a couple seconds and no, it wasn't internet lag). When I got to the page with my chars, no chars were present. Disappeared, even though they had been logged the day before. I didn't move anything. And I fixed the issue after going through many hoops of moving chars around and whatnot (I have now forgotten how to do that figuring I wouldn't have to do it again).

But now, after being able to log everything just fine earlier last week, I tried logging in just about five minutes ago after the update and every char is gone, just like last time. It's the same thing as last time. So, if anyone knows the easy fix to this that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Unless something has gone catastrophically wrong, your accounts should still be loaded fine. It sounds like the Code/Signature values are still find as well, otherwise the game wouldn't have even loaded you in. Is this all the accounts or just a couple? If that's the case, ensure you didn't just lose them to the activity wipe. If that's not the case, please send me the broken account XML so I can take a look at it (in PM since that's sorta sensitive info).

There were bugs with the old launcher that we couldn't fix because we didn't have editable source code (Design View). We could edit old features within a limited capacity but couldn't do any major fixes or feature additions. A rewrite was indeed necessary.

It's all the accounts lol. It's like the last time this happened. If I make a new acct, it'll delete itself as soon as I exit and go back in to log it again. And no, it is not activity wipe. I just had logged those three chars for a couple hours each, switching up systems, buying things and landing at different bases. Ill send you the XML I guess

Edit* I only use one acct currently, with three chars in it. They gone lol

Are the accounts actually being loaded into the launcher? If not this is really sounding like a Read/Write issue, which would be related to permissions or your one not looking in the right place for some reason. In addition to the previous, could you also send me your launcherconfig.xml file from where the launcher is saved?

The accounts are there. I can see them and can click on them and "load" them. But the chars are gone. Where do you want me to pm it? Discord or the actual PM's on the server here?

A lot of people have been having issues with the category filtering causing errors. I've fixed this, but I'm somewhat concerned about re-implementing search for the same reason. Scrolling while the list is filtered will cause errors. (The old launcher had the same issue)

Some people have a ton of accounts, tbh I don't want to scroll like a idiot for few minutes to find some account I want to use.

That's is why the category system exists. It's ever so slightly slower, but the program is significantly more stable as a result.
