The new model for the valor looks good but was it needed to change old npc valors also? Cant this new model be made into some sort of a new mk 2 version of it?

That's because the zone is set to emanate from the centre of an object, and the object's surface is a few K away from the centre. Just increase the 10K distance by the radius of the object.
