Giving discovery members a place to communicate outside the RP environment and sacrificing the fourth wall and the anonymity of RP characters as buffer between the player, is a mistake not only Disco has made, but a mistake all the same. Discovery due to its long standing existence and hardcore playerbase suffers from OORP interaction in general.

Your Disco experience will improve a decent amount the moment you remove the forums, discord and skype from the formula. Try it. I can personally attest that it is working very well.

And yet majority of players hated LH~ for incognito. Disco is full of bitterness even when it's impossible to lose in this game. Resources are infinite, you respawn with your ship and tech. You can only lose time. And some people decide to spend their Disco time spreading negativity. That's a lose-lose situation for whole community.

Listen to sindroms and go play this nostalgic game that is kept together by remaining players. Spread positivity, spread care, spread friendliness. Enjoy the roleplay, enjoy the gameplay, enjoy the experience. It will not last forever but it can provide great memories forever. And that is worth striving for.
