It is curious to see that the intent to be a bit whack and funny on the affiliation chart elicited directional feedback. We have not used and are not planning to use Belta Lang ingame.
We will utilise a slang lingo in a zero copula fashion, interspersed with regular English words for functional communication with players.
Took some inspiration from the mentioned franchise, yet "talk" our own way. One of ours' is coincidentally learned in lingustics
and a good deal of influence actually stems from here.
And with more members will come more influences into the slang lingo, probably further developing our Junka-speak.

Re: elaboration on your linguistic plans, well now hey, color me interested.

To be entirely clear, I don't necessarily have anything against getting a bit quirky wit it in the facstat, as that's something I tend to do myself (cf the Kongsi Syndicate writeup's diplomacy section—here I must admit my hypocrisy and fess that I used the word "welwala" once at request of faction members, though I can't recall if we've since removed it or not) and I think can add some great characterization to a group right off the bat. I just know that we got some pretty fierce negative feedback on that and so I wanted to hopefully preclude that in your case by articulating possible objections with constructive intentions before others did so with a less considerate style.

As for the writeup itself, I think there is potential here, but at the moment it feels a bit insubstantial. "We're weird even for junkers and we're out in the middle of nowhere" doesn't tell me anything meaningful about your group or what yall do—but maybe that's okay. If you plan to expand your writeup as you go along, to be a sort of collection of general knowledge that others in your area of operation might feasibly know about you, almost like an abstracted bar rumor, that's cool. I've seen a faction or two do that before and do it well. I only go on this tangent because of the numerous rumors and unsubstantiated theories in the early partv of your writeup, so if I'm totally off base here then forgive me.

Overall I'm optimistic and eager to see what you folks plan to do, despite a few misgivings (as I'm far too bitter a vet to not have any of those, but I also enjoy being proven wrong). Thanks for being responsive in this thread so far, and best of luck with whatever you're cookin' up.

It is relatively straight-forward in terms of linguistics: More dental consonant pronounciation, abbreviation of syllables plus other minor tweaks - as best as is possible in a written form ingame.

It was a conscious decision to keep information vague, short and "insubstantial", as you call it.
We currently want to leave open as many approaches to the RP as we can.
And if curiosity makes people come over and have a talk, all the better.

I am glad to see that new Junker shenanigans are appearing, we've had very few interactions with your group but we like what we've seen so far.
We're looking forward to do plans together.

Not the feedback thread but really cool faction intro. Loved the use of Belter Creole and it makes sense in roleplay to have that linguistic mix for your faction. I don't play actively anymore but always nice to see new groups spring up to change the status quo.

If you guys are new - just have fun, be creative, and try to generally follow the rules of the server and the overall established faction mold (which you definitely seem to be). Things will settle over time as you find your ground and develop. There's always some ardent forum goers who seem to impose their own personal views on what and how RP ''should be''.

This is such a comical take that it made me laugh out loud, thank you.

Give me the liberty to know, to utter, and to argue freely according to conscience, above all liberties.
