So you are implying that spreading information converts into action? Here in Japan child abuse is a real problem despite no info in the media about it. And under abuse I mean simple old violence, not some sexual deviations, so referencing hentai and corny anime stuff is not relevant.

The downhill, tho, is more about becoming sensitive about everything. Some depictions of abuse towards a prisoner of war which actually do happen and get covered on the news, right. Sensitive. You can allude to it, you can be subtle about it, but if you want to directly refer to it or straight up lay it out in the bare in a conversation or straight, blunt, raw writing, you're going to get judged for it, and shouted at.

If you can't be a better writer and keep it as a shadow looming over the story instead of a glaring problem that's the forefront, maybe you shouldn't use such viciously offensive subject matter in your stories.

Who's defending ploriferation, my dude? If anything, Sonja as a char is a SURVIVOR, meaning, her very existence and continued story works AGAINST abuse.

I mean, imagine being throught some of that shit and turning to videogames to cope. You then meet chars like Sonja, and the story makes you feel like someone understands you. You meet other of his chars like Lady Camille who left wealthy family to fight for what is right in Liberty. Or Hilda who cooks amazing stuff both ingame and inrp. I mean I've seen forum signatures depicting the genocide in Leeds, being worn as a badge of honor. So no false equivalence here, it's a very glaring display of double standart.

So you are dismissing equivaleces on a subjective basis while speaking about "good writing" as something objective. Right. Writing can be objectively good if devoid of spelling, grammar, and semantic errors, and tautology. Everything else is purely subjective. Some writers keep the mystery, others hit hard directly. As long as the writing methods fit the intent of the writer and it is interesting to read - the writing can find readers and interest.

Take your subjective evaluations elsewhere, please.

Caitlyn is lucky they were not simply handed a ban, as others were. The outrage over a thread they could very easily have just PM'd a moderator/GM about to get the contents sent to them is ridiculous. Threads are only ever invis'd, and staff can always see them, and thus, send you the contents over PM, discord, email, whatever pleases you.

You are not doing them or yourself any favors for a person who received a very, very light slap on the wrist, and acting like they were just executed by H*tler himself.

Yeah because no child was muredered in the 15B+ casualties of the genocide people wear in signature.

My main point, still unchallenged, is that Sonja's story is the example of what RP can be when you push narrative like that in a meaningful way. There's no point in there where a sane person would empathize with the perpetrators or feel aroused by the abusive situation. It's the kind of story that promotes a sense of healing to anyone who have been through shit.

If anything, False equivalence is saying a survivor story about the horror of abuse is promoting abuse itself.
