Hegemon Rumble

Corsairs vs Red Hessians, Mollys & Coalition vs Bretonia

Notice

Premise:

Years passing by inevitably bring technological advancements. Several occurred in recent years, including the famous Crecy being retired in favor of the new Agincourt Destroyer. More importantly for the general Sirius public, the Hegemon got refitted to be far more suitable for combat. Test results yielded fantastic defensive as well as offensive capabilities, and the newly improved Hegemon came to market with high expectations. What remains is testing it in true combat against real opponents.

As all factions even slightly involved with mining rush to acquire and put the new Hegemon into action, the market is flooded. Having heard that the ship fields Battlecruiser-level firepower, a group of eager Corsairs has decided to try their hand in direct combat in the Hammen Hole. The Red Alliance, consisting of Red Hessians, Mollys, and the Coalition, has similar plans. They want to try and undermine what they consider a weak attack from the Corsairs, but not without testing a few Hegemons of their own. Bretonia, opportunistically looking to clear both sides out and have their fair share of Hegemon examination, joins the fray.

Participants:

Any ID with ZoI or engagement rights is welcome, though the main factions of the event are preferred. Regardless, players are encouraged to bring Hegemons.

Registered Participants

No registration needed. Rough balancing will be done on the spot. This is meant to be a fun introduction event to test the Hegemon's pvp capabilities, try not to take it too serious.

Regulations:

1. Standard PvP rules apply.

If you're killed, you're out. No returning to the battle again.

2. No running away from the active battlezone.

Once you leave the fight you're forbidden from rejoining. That includes resupplying. Stay 10k within the battlezone.

3. All loadouts allowed.

Everything is fair game.

4. No running to the NPC stations, asteroids or sundiving.

Events are made to be as fair as possible so do not leave the battlezone to hug asteroids or draw the fight into the sun intentionally.

Bump, starting in a bit more than 3 hours. I highly recommend people move their Hegemons ahead of time due to their low speed.
