Hello there!
I've pretty much tried reinstalling the game about 5 times already, and my launcher is still malfunctioning.
There is no way to interact with anything in the launcher due to that "Notification" that I'm getting and that same message cannot be clicked on or interracted with in order to remove it in any way..
Please be kind enough to give me a suggestion on what I am to try out next..

It's a rare and annoying bug. You need to either use task manager to close just the notification, or you need to try and hit OK on it by using alt-tab and the enter key.

Yeah I've tried both even before posting, but I still cannot get it to work.. The Task Manager thing doesn't display the message, even after showing all processes it just isn't there and I spent about 20 mins alt+tabbing (lol kms).. I will see if I can think of anything else..

A solution would be to add to do the following:

Create a the following file, if it doesn't already exist, in C:\Users\%yourname%\My Documents\My Games\Discovery\launcheraccounts.xml

Paste this inside and save
Code:
<AccountsList>
  <account code="lorem" signature="ipsum" description="lorem" favorite="False">Ipsum</account>
</AccountsList>
then rerun the launcher, make a new account through the launcher, and delete this one.

Okay well atleast that got us somewhere lol.. Now the message has changed but I still cannot interact with it (eww)

So none of the notifications work? Odd. I'll look into it tomorrow (00:30 rn).

Reinstalled mine and no accounts show in in the favorites/recents area. Notifications seem to be fine, though.
