Hello, I had got some Good pieces of Advice here and I Understand that Sonja was too Young to be seen as Aceptable here. I Changed her Background a Bit I Tried to make her Look Older and I hope it is now Acceptable. some things wher left in on purpose, for example, the "Teddybear" In her Early Episodes. as I used this to show how Damaged her Soul was back then. I also Removed all Hints on her Age but I see her Between 24 and 26 Years Old. I never intended to hurt anyone with my Story or to feel Bad. that was one of the reasons why I made Big Disclaimers on her Diary Entries. I hope her Story fits the Standards better now even when it's Still at the Edge. as for the GMs if you maybe would Talk with People before you Threaten to Delete ther Hard Work then we all could have Safed this Drama. if you still see things that are Problematic Please tell me and I will try to find a way to Correct them.

Time ago I told you that 17 was too young also to drive a car (let's think about a spaceship then). Increasing it of 1 or 2 (So 18/19 also 20 years old) is good enough to correct this mistake.

Caitlyn is lucky they were not simply handed a ban, as others were. The outrage over a thread they could very easily have just PM'd a moderator/GM about to get the contents sent to them is ridiculous. Threads are only ever invis'd, and staff can always see them, and thus, send you the contents over PM, discord, email, whatever pleases you.

You are not doing them or yourself any favors for a person who received a very, very light slap on the wrist, and acting like they were just executed by H*tler himself.

Last time I checked, this was a private community governed by the community and for the community. Isn't that some sort of democracy? If not, then who is/are the ruler(s) who at their whom determine the moral standards to serve the basis for the rules? Morals being a very fluid concept, I can't see much sanctionable actions. Moreover,in a public community that you are referencing the standards would most likely be more strict exactly because of it being public. Here, in this universe forgotten place I was really surprised to see people finding it offensive and disturbing, as if people outside of disco, or even most casual players who areeither not reading the RP stories section, or forum at all gonna see this.

At any rate, the author showed up and the incident can be considered exhausted. I learnt some interesting things about nthe standards of this place today.

As I already said in other locations, the transparency is an issue, however, if something was against the rules, regardless of the reason for the roleplay due to ulterior motives whether it be a coping mechanism or otherwise, it's against the rules, and should be treated accordingly. There is no exception to rule violation, we still don't know what exactly was the cause for the deletion/sanction, I have my agreements and disagreements with how this was handled. If there was nothing to sanction when whoever reported it decided to report it, nothing would have been done.

Should the staff produce the reason of the sanction for transparency, if not only to the person of said violation, yes, should an opportunity to fix that mistake in writing be presented, yes. However if the subject matter was indeed as extreme as some think/claim it is, then a warning wouldn't have suited the situation, should the staff team allow the person in question to re-write the roleplay, yes.

Caitlyn or whatever they go by as I suggested should request the contents of the invisible post be handed over so they can re-write the contents, whether they've done that or not I don't know, not really following the situation that closely.

The argument Romeo proposed about this being a coping mechanism/self insert of the roleplayer's own trauma is all well and good, discord exists, you can roleplay there behind closed doors following an interaction in space where nobody is the wiser and you can do whatever the hell you want without issue, and if that is the case, however unlikely I find that due to the fact I have some experiences in the matter of said trauma being proposed and would never make light of my personal demons for everyone to see like that, that still does not grant exemption from the rules of disco that everyone knows and has their own personal relationship with.

The flip side to that argument about a coping mechanism/self insert of the roleplayer's own trauma is that through roleplaying their own trauma they could have stumbled upon another person with the same trauma, who really doesn't want to have a daily reminder about what happened to them in a community they use to escape their trauma. Which is one of the reasons I really don't like this character myself.

I personally avoided the story because of the way it was written, I don't really find such a topic disturbing due to my overly jaded nature to everything around me for one reason or another, however I can't say I care too damn much about a character's story if it means I'm reading what is essentially some poor abused soul of a child trapped in an adult's body because they never got to grow up, behave and talk like a child, and elude to specifics of their past trauma publicly because it's simply that. Just something I don't want to read. However I'm beginning to argue hypotheticals and preferences and that won't get us anywhere, so back to more of the point.

Staff should definitely be more transparent in the future to avoid massive threads of people guessing what the real cause of the problem is like we see here, are they going to do that? Probably not, if the sanction goes through there will definitely be a thread like there always is, people will be pissed off about it for awhile then we'll all move on and forget about it to go discuss the next trending big issue in disco like the broken records that we are.

I mean, I've been through the thread, and it's just the standart way victims talk about abuse in written fiction.
