Rathmines Refinery was constructed by the Junkers in the Dublin system as a drop-off point for their salvagers who were scavenging wrecks within the system. In time, foundries and other facilities were constructed giving the platform a new meaning, that of a commerce station, which the Mollys made good use of it. The station's economy flourished as smugglers from all over Sirius sold their wares and left to other parts of Sirius with cargo holds full of gold.
The station's foundries were working non-stop ever since their construction and a Molly clan of shipbuilders wanted to purchase the entire installation. Alan Quirke, the head of the family, came to an agreement with the Junkers, they would sell the administration rights to them for a hefty sum of credits and they would continue to operate the foundries with Junker personnel, thus the station passed from Junker to Molly hands. Rathmines Refinery, now under their administration, provides vital metals and other materials to expand their fleet.
Molly allies, supporters and acquaintances will always find a docking bay ready to receive them. The station also offers identification forgery for those that need it and ay pickup their new IFF transponders at the equipment vendor.
