Correct me if I'm wrong, but this page is about the said solar (e.g. planet) and not its owners in specific, I'm not saying they shouldn't be mentioned but the article as it is, is all about the corsairs and not the planet which is weird as I wanted to know more about Crete.

Yep, Planet Crete's infocard - and thus its Wiki page, in this case, as the first block of text there is copied straight from the in-game infocard - is a bit different to most other populated planets. The in-game infocard doesn't really mention much about Crete at all. The Geography section a bit further down on the page was added in addition to the infocard content to address that "issue", so the Planet Crete page actually has a bit more information about the planet itself than most infocards of that type.

I suspect that this was originally done by the Freelancer devs to put the Corsair's backstory into the game somewhere, like they did with Planet Malta, Buffalo Base and other "capital" bases/planets for each faction. All of them are mostly faction backstory followed by a short bit of info about the base itself at the end, and the Wiki has inherited that quirk by mostly using information from the infocards to build up each page. Probably won't change much unless the infocards themselves are rewritten at some point, I'm afraid, as we don't know much more about it than that in canon lore.
