These Watts manual washing machine shutoff valves are designed to control water flow from the hot and cold water supply piping to the flexible hoses feeding a washing machine. With a flip of its lever, you can turn the water on or off, thus protecting the washing machine parts and hoses from water damage, avoiding the potentially catastrophic results of a burst washing machine hose. It has single control lever controls both hot and cold water simultaneously, shuts off water protecting machine parts and water supply hoses. It can be installed in a more convenient spot than old boiler drain type hot and cold water shutoffs which are often installed in hard to reach places. This makes shutting off the water supply easier. The ball-type design allows it to be opened to any position to throttle water flow and minimize harmful water hammer and banging pipes caused by fast closing washing machine solenoid valves.

This single lever washing machine water shutoff valve controls both hot and cold water simultaneously. It consists of bronze body, 1/2 inch sweat copper ell adapters for copper tubing and 3/4 inch hose outlet connection.

This IntelliFlow (TM) automatic washing machine shutoff valve with leak sensor is used in residential applications to protect against catastrophic water damage from a burst inlet hose connected to a washing machine in use or unattended. It senses when the washing machine is on or off, and then opens or closes the hot and cold inlet valves as needed to allow or prevent water from flowing to the washer. If it detects a leak, current flow to both the hot and cold water valves are immediately interrupted and closed. This device consists of an electrical three-prong outlet to receive a washing machine power cable, leak sensor, power cord, and a replaceable internal strainer screen. It also comes equipped with 1/2 inch sweat inlet adapters for both hot and cold water supply tubing and two mounting tabs used to secure the valve to the wall for surface mount applications. The maximum pressure is 150 psi (10. 3 bar). A wall box is included for recessed wall mounting.

Laundry-Mate installs easily between 2” x 4” studs on 16” centers with angle mounting straps (provided). Copper tubing supplies enter the sides of the unit from above or below and attach to union elbows. Just connect the valve to the union elbows with two screws, install the drain pipe and hoses, and screw on the cover – then, your work is done!
