ID restrictions are rules in and of themselves. You are expected to adhere to the rules provided in your ID, as well as those in the server rules.

Ships aren't exactly cars from our time. They are advanced, highly technical, maintenance-heavy vessels - especially for larger ships, even more so for capital ships - cruisers, battlecruisers, battleships and carriers. Liberty Navy cannot be expected to operate say, Kusari capitals or snubcraft (fighters/bombers/freighters) because the tooling and technical know-how for their operation and maintenance are vastly different from their homegrown counterparts. Additionally, for smaller factions, they may not have the resources or capacity to operate larger ships, and technology and technical knowledge may not be available to them - Freelancers for example - cannot just buy a military fighter and expect it to work and stay working. Furthermore, 5K Cargo haulers are massive beasts, requiring shipyards to maintain.
You can, of course, work in the roleplay around a certain ship if it is plausible and you can provide evidence for such as part of a Special Roleplay (SRP) request, wherein you can request your own custom ID and powercore exemption.
Dont get me wrong Disc runs their server how they want of course, just curious.
I wasnt speaking of cars, In Military and 35 years in aerospace, if you can get enough used ships or parts you can assemble one and fly it, other governments who do not have the funds for their own development hodgepodge used planes ships from other governments.
I know Countless individuals own Bombers, fighters and tanks artilery. Even Evergreens President /owner bought a newish complete F14 tomcat to comemorate his lost son.
I know tour companies that purchased completely operation Soviet Submarines just to modify for tours.
Again if you can get it or buy it its yours, the only people who are regulated are the ones who are citizens and dont have a lot of money.
Game play SP mode you were told many times to pick up a liberty or faction fighter.
So basically the answer is its Discs roleplay descision, gotcha.
