Chesterfield Station is a modular space station located in Libertys Texas system. The station is the centerpiece of Deep Space Engineering that specializes in large scale logistical solutions, construction, and reclaiming and re-purposing metal waste. Chesterfield Station is a favorite rest stop for Deep Space Engineering staff, and allies, thanks to a number of state-of-the-art recreational and dining facilities.
Chesterfield Station had been in planning for some time. As Deep Space Engineering pride themselves as being one of the best in the construction industry, there were delays in the planning stages while they insured the station would be perfect for its unique purpose. Once permission was granted from the Liberty Government, construction began. The initial stages of construction were finished in early 827 AS. Since then, construction and upgrades have not stopped. By the end of the first quarter of 827, the second stage of construction was complete and Chesterfield Station was deemed safe for general use, despite still being classed as a construction site. Assistance from allies such as Ageira Innovations and the Junker Congress in regards to importing supplies has allowed for this construction to progress quickly.
Deep Space Engineering work closely with the Junker Congress in an attempt to clean up New York and the scrap metal fields. The friendly relationship between the two factions allow for a smooth operation. The assistance of eager traders seeking profit while moving the premium scrap allows for the continuation of the project.
After the clean up efforts in New York have been all but successful, Deep Space Engineering decided it would be beneficial to relocate to Texas to begin the clean up efforts there as they had done before the war with Rheinland many years ago. Being that this would mean Chesterfield Station was now further from any means of supplies, the crew began researching and implementing methods to become more self sufficient through Project Greenthumb. This has shown many great signs of success to date, however it is not currently ready to rely on as the sole source of supplies.
Future plans for Chesterfield Station include the construction of a number of factories to assist in the research and development department have all the required facilities to continue research, as well as expansion of the station to increase the capacity of the premium scrap storage.
