Riau Star City 廖星城 — Bandar Bintang Riau — Зоряне Місто Ріау
Riau Star City is the home of the Kongsi Syndicate, a group within the Independent Miners' Guild that organizes ourselves decentrally and horizontally according to the principles of anarcho-syndicalism and mutual aid. While a small installation at present, the Syndicate has plans to quickly grow Riau's size and infrastructure with an aim to eventually becoming self-sustaining while also being able to permanently host thousands of residents. Access to our home is currently heavily restricted, but certain individuals and groups may be granted special permission to visit us.
Context
As a socialist society, the Syndicate condemns the use of currency altogether, as it leads to unjust accumulation of wealth via exploitation, arbitrage, and other repressive economic stratagems. We instead rely, whenever possible, upon mutual aid, wherein goods and services are freely exchanged whenever the parties involved can spare the material cost, with no tracking or calculation of "debts". However, living in a capitalistic sector necessarily means this is not always feasible. When necessary, in-kind trades or monetary transactions will be conducted on the spot so long as the syndics involved deem it to be conducive to the Kongsi's greater goals.

Visiting Riau
At present, docking and mooring at Riau Star City is limited to our closest and dearest comrades. Yet when a man has neither servant under him nor boss overhead, but works for the benefit of himself and his kin, his power becomes unlimited. The Syndicate mines and refines hundreds of thousands more tons of niobium than we and our comrades can presently ship off on our own.
If you're presently a stranger but wish to establish an intimate and trust-based relationship of mutual aid with us, send us a line and we'll work something out. Otherwise, if you seek to profit off of our surplus product, fill out the attached form and we'll decide whether or not we wish to work with you. If we do, we'll let you know and you'll be cleared to visit Riau and purchase refined niobium from our smelters. If we don't, we'll return your application fee to you—as if we don't want to work with you, then we certainly don't want your filthy blood money.
