Brief
With the conquest of Planet Gammu completed several years ago and its exploitation in full swing, it is the belief of AP Manufacturing that, by combining the lessons learned in the WV Bellona and WV Mars projects, more specifically the focus on utilizing AP-609 hulls as mobile carriers for fighter and bomber wings, whilst having their original hull plating reinforced with ablative armor plating on a large scale with the understandings of artificial intelligence systems from the WV Illustrious project, the creation of a new generation, prototype AP-609 hull is possible. The final product will have House-grade armor plating, integrated artificial intelligence systems and powercore and hangar bays similar to those used on WV Bellona, allowing for deep space missions with ease.
Furthermore, the announcement of Kishiro Jump Drives onto the Sirius market allows for ample testing room to be had in preparing a possible jump bridge link between Omicron Delta and Omicron Kappa, reducing the strain put on logistical operations for short periods of time. In spite of this, the highly experimental design of current jump drives leaves a lot to be desired due to their inability to act as links for bulk transports, unlike jump gate infrastructure or jump hole anomalies. Should the WV Jupiter hull be successfully refitted with a Kishiro prototype drive, it must see major trials at earliest.
FOR HIGH COMMAND EYES ONLY: The integrated artificial intelligence systems to be installed are highly unstable, they must be reset every 48 hours; the armor plating will make the vessel vastly more difficult to maneuver, recommended that it is refitted with long range artillery systems to allow for positioning at end of allied lines, behind cruiser escorts; experimental powercore generator will have to be reset every 72 hours to maintain operability at 100% power. Further, it will require at least an Albatross-sized transport, with engine repair and maintenance components as part of the fleet, in case of emergencies; prototype jump device can only allow for the safe transportation of between 500 and 600 cargo units worth of goods, recommended that the jump bridge link be only activated for rapid deliveries.
Outline
Project "Signifer" has 6 phases, all of equal importance for the success of the mission. Listed, they are as follows:
Establishing contact with the Rheinland authorities, corporations, on the project -- incomplete -- This phase involves contacting, over relevant diplomatic channels, the Military, Buro and Daumann respectively for participation in the "Signifer" project. Additional goal for this phase is securing a docking berth at Oder Shipyard, to be used for the hull upgrade and armament refitting;
Contacting the GMG -- incomplete -- To be done to secure passage through the Sigmas and towards Frankfurt;
Refitting phase I -- incomplete -- Done at Oder Shipyard; to involve installing reinforced armor plating, complete overhaul of the hangar bays and artillery mounts for the vessel'
Establishing contact with Kishiro, Naval Forces -- incomplete -- To be done to secure a contract regarding the WV Jupiter's refitting with a jump drive device;
Refitting phase II -- incomplete -- Installing the Kishiro drive;
Return to Omicron Delta; Field trials -- incomplete
