Noob here. I've landed on quite a few bases where the only NPCs are robots and there is nothing for sale and no missions to be had. What's the purpose of these bases?
I have setup a simple server to play on but enemies keep running away from me rather than fighting.
Is there any way to make the enemies attack me rather than run away or increase their difficulty?
At the moment I just kill the enemies near the jump holes when I explore but I managed to get all the way to the Corsair homeworlds without getting attacked. This also happens on the low level missions on bases, the NPC's don't fight back, but they do on the higher level missions.
Battleships and stations attack me naturally but the NPC fighters/trade lane distruptions ignore me.
I just joined the server today. Everything worked great when I first logged on. When I came back in, my HUD was incomplete. It would not show my speed or distance to target. Anyone know what this is or how to fix it?
Someone with more tech saavy probably has a better answer - a reinstall of both the base Freelancer game and the Discovery mod. Make sure you follow each step in the installation as well.

Did a fresh install and it is still the same. I had that info on my HUD when I first started playing. Anyone else have an idea how to get it back?
