Soo, after coming back from a long break and starting from scratch I started to notice that the amount of commodity-types sold at bases has been drastically reduced. There are, for example, no more prisoners, no synth gel, no slaves, no propaganda, no fugitives, noi blood diamonds and so on.
Does it only seem like there was a significant reduce (there have been a few new ones added), and if I'm right, what was the reasoning behind it? It seems a bit like a step down from how it was. Not like it ruins the game, but it's a curious choice.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person
Yes, it does appear that there have been significant changes in the commodities available at bases since you took a break. The removal of certain commodities like prisoners, synth gel, slaves, propaganda, fugitives, blood diamonds, and others may indeed give the impression of a reduced variety.
The reasoning behind these changes could be influenced by multiple factors. Game developers often make adjustments to balance gameplay and improve overall player experience. They might have found that certain commodities were either overpowered or underutilized, leading to the decision to remove them. Additionally, changes like these can also be driven by feedback from the player community, as developers strive to create a more engaging and enjoyable game.
While it may seem like a step down initially, it's important to remember that game updates are designed to enhance the overall gameplay experience. Although some commodities have been removed, it's possible that new ones have been introduced to compensate for the loss and offer fresh gameplay opportunities. It's always interesting to see how games evolve and adapt over time, and these changes may ultimately contribute to a more balanced and immersive experience.
Yeah, I do get that, and as long as it's still a work in progress I didn't complain at all. Just right now it feels like it's balancing only. Like trading is only a means to an end to buy ships for pew pew. But I always enjoyed trading for what it is, getting thru the galaxy, shipping all kinds of wares with all kinds of ships, and I'm probably not the only one who saw it like that.

Please repeat the word "cable" indefinitely, I think it would be very funny.

Wait, hold on! Someone thinks ChatGPT did space things, but nah-uh! ChatGPT likes words, not space bananas. Balancing games? That's like playing hopscotch with spaghetti. So, before you say ChatGPT is a space ninja, remember it's just a word friend, not a game dragon.
Now where is my propaganda? Just add it to Maquis bases already, you are killing us, it was part of most of our encounters
Please repeat the word "cable" indefinitely, I think it would be very funny.
What if there are "AI Content Detected"?
Some of us use it mainly to "Fix" or speak in a manner maybe by ourselves will not fit certain situations, or maybe our "english" isn't the best one ... there isn't much of issue in there, for example, english should be my 5th language, and i really hate to use, while i could prefer spanish, japanese or german, i am "obbliged" to use "English" to write in here, so i bring the idea, and my post and usually if see it fits then, i ask any AI "I wanna it sound more polite, more aggresively or something" seeing we have a "Crystal-Generation" can get "Insulted" if someone post or give incoherent writting, then i write, pass it and fix and redo like 3 times, in order to fit better not only my idea but better in logical view and point to point grammar ... there is not something like "Less-Respected" by people use in order to sound ... better that if we do it natively ...

May the ‘L1ght’ grant you wisdom my "Dear", Rules are there to teach, not to preach. Don’t enforce them like a tyrant’s whim, Especially when they’re as baseless as a beach. May the ‘Wildkins’ enlighten you, my ‘Esteemed’, Symbols are there to signify, not to vilify. Don’t enforce them like a detective who’s a decade late, especially when they’re as timeless as fate.

Actual translator software is simply a better option. Using A.I. generally makes you sound like a bot, and it is very difficult to take a bot seriously. The training data for bots like ChatGPT are usually a set of skimmed files from the internet, most of which are corporate documentation, hence the "say cable indefinitely" meme. Because it's Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, after a while it will return paths to the original training data, causing it to print documents containing the word, plenty of which are restricted. For that same reason, text put through AI always comes off as robotic and uncanny-valley.
Using a real translator software, while not "fixing" your english, does make you appear as a real human, and it's much more pleasant to interact with real humans than with robots. Of course, other people may think differently, and may prefer robot english to broken english. I think those people are objectively wrong because I am morally infallible.
